Today is Halloween! Please remember that students should bring their costumes to school. We do not wear them all day. After the students finish Music today, we will change and prepare for our parade. A special
"Thank You" to the ladies coming in to help! After today's festivities, we will have a standard week. We are continuing to read Sign of the Beaver in language arts and working on division in math. The children are doing well with the novel and seem to enjoy hearing about Matt's adventures. If the weather cooperates, we will go outside to read in the land lab this week. The children love the new hammocks out there! Social studies taught us about the Native American tribes that first inhabited Ohio. This week we will move into the French and Indian War and start to talk about the American Revolution. Mrs. Oboczky has done a great job of letting the children research our ancient past. We are looking forward to this next chapter in Ohio's history. And finally, in science, we are wrapping up our lessons on fossils this week. Please look for a study guide to come home mid-week because we will have a quiz on the material we have covered in class on Friday. Students will also have an opportunity to review the material in class on Thursday.
