I am a person of habit, and one thing I enjoy doing each weekend is reflecting on our week and organizing my thoughts around the week to come. Hopefully, I will even get into the routine of adding photos to the thoughts here. Until then, I do recommend you check out my Twitter feed @mrsjodihetman. You will usually find a pic or two on my feed, showcasing the fun things we do in class.
Because last week was a lot of professional development and classroom setup time, allow me to just look ahead. This week in class, we will spend a lot of time getting to know one another and establishing our routines. Math 8:40 - 9:55 Some students may leave for Mrs. Coen's class at this time. Lang Arts 10:00 - 10:55 Lunch/Recess 10:55 - 11:45 We eat first, and we will be rotating between eating in our classroom and the cafeteria. Science / Social Studies 11:50 - 12:55 IE (intervention/Enrichment) 12:55 - 1:35 Encore 1:37 - 2:19 Day 1 - Music, Day 2 - Gym, Day 3 - Art, Day 4 - Library Grammar 2:24 - 2:50 Dismissal 3:00 - 3:20 3:00 begins parent pick-up. Last names A-D will pick up in the bus loop, and E - Z will pick up at the main entrance. Please note if you are picking up from the main entrance, you must park and come up to the entrance for your child. Bus Riders will be dismissed from the classroom beginning at 3:02. The class schedule may get modified after the first week; we will see how our days flow. A few other things to note:

Welcome, Parents!
I will use this blog page to update you weekly. Typically, I share what we have done in class the prior week as well as give you a heads up on where we are going. I will try to consistently update on Sunday nights; a REMIND announcement will let you know when a new post has been published. In order to help me get started with our exciting plans for the year, I would like to ask you to take two minutes to complete a parent survey for me. In advance, I thank you! I know you have 100 directions to go in so I appreciate you sharing this moment with me. I hope your family has a great start to our 2021-2022 school year! Sincerely, Mrs. Jodi Hetman |
